Grand Days, Grandparents, Grand Kids, Great-Grand Kids

Ah, Memorial Day, the first Official BBQ Day! A time for families to get together, remember our ancestors and light up the grills and smokers. A time to put on your favorite tunes and "Turn It Up" while we Grill 'Em and Smoke 'em. We'll it wasn't that way at our house!! The kids are scattered around the country and we wondered, along with Creedence Clearwater Revival, "Who'll Stop the Rain".

We had a wonderful visit with Alisha and her family. They stopped here on their way to check out their new hometown Nashville, TN. Here Noel is discovering how cool Great Grandpa's rocking chair is.

The kids liked watching the fish and turtles at Apple Village. I'm not sure why half the group is leaning in.

Alisha and Steven's families got to spend time together. Zoe loves to chew on everything.

Noel read a book to Zoe.

Ellie and Alisha love each other. Ellie is Ms. Smilie Girl.

After reading the book to Zoe, Noel decided to give her a drink.

Here's a rare photo. The clan is all together except for Kimberly's family. Hopefully, we'll all be together in July.

Suzanne finally got her Mother's Day flowers planted. During the busy, whirlwind time, Cory helped plant flowers. Thanks Cory!

Noel got to ride the new Frontrunner train twice, once with her Dad and once with Grandma. She thought it was great. She even got to see our house from the train.

We needed something fun to start June. We took Grandy and Grandpa to Farmington Bay where they have a small migratory bird refuge. But, it was closed so we couldn't see the Blue Herons nesting. But we took a short walk and sat down in the shade.

"And that's the way it is."

Who didn't get the memo that memorial day weekend is supposed to be nice weather?? It looks like you guys still took full advantage of the long weekend. I heard a little rumor that cory and alisha will be in Utah when Mike and Kim are... is this true?

Looks like a fun time with the family, I can't wait to come in July.
Even though we weren't with the family we held true to the McFadden memorial day BBQ.
