Gee, maybe we should try this.

(As soon as I post this I'll probably regret it. But, it's how I feel right now. So, here it goes)

Since our current economic policy isn't doing much for recovery, it seems to be just adding to the deficit and we still have 15 million unemployed, maybe we should take a lesson from our friends across the pond.

From the BBC:

UK economic growth jumps to 1.1%

The Chancellor, George Osborne, said the figures proved his plan to cut the public sector was right.

He said: "In the Budget, I set out a plan to restore confidence in our economy by dealing with the deficit, starting this year, and to rebalance growth from the public to private sector.

"Today's figures show the private sector contributing all but 0.1% of the growth in the second quarter, and put beyond doubt that it was right to begin acting on the deficit now."

My understanding of economics is you spend less than you earn. It's that simple The US economy is just like your household budget, only with a lot more zeros.

It's just a thought. I could be wrong.

Phoenix

Had the chance to visit Phoenix. Stayed at The Arizona Biltmore and The Boulders. They are two great places, yet very different. Also, visited Taliesin West, Frank Lloyd Wright's winter home. It was a great trip. Here are a few photos to enjoy.

What is this, is it real? It's a blown glass cactus by Dale Chihuly. Pretty cool.
