Next Stop, Nashville
A couple of weeks ago we were in Washington DC visiting Kimberly, last week it was Nashville visiting Alisha. We had a great time. Here are some highlights.
We'll start off with this beautiful staircase in the downtown Nashville Library.
This town really is Music City USA. We toured the Ryman Auditorium. This is for Steve, Johnny Cash.
Earlier in the week, the crew from Diners, Drive Ins and Dives was filming here at Martin's BBG. As you can see it was mmm mmmm good!
On our way home we stopped by the Bluebird Cafe. It's a little place where they have singer-songwriters every night. This is 4 songwriters "in the round". This is where Garth Brooks and many others started out. The guy here has written songs for Garth. Many of these famous singers return to the cafe, like Jewel, Leanne Rimes, and Taylor Swift. It was one of the hightlights. They told when and where and why they wrote their songs. If you like music, it's a must go to.
Of course the girls made us blue berry muffins for breakfast.
And on our last night, it was dinner at the Loveless Cafe. Another Diners, Drive Ins and Dives favorite. Fried Chicken and Pulled Pork with green beans and potato casserole.
And of all the famous people who go to Loveless and have their photos hanging on the wall this is Suzanne's favorite.

Cherry Blossoms in Washington DC
This was our first time seeing the Cherry Blossoms in Washington DC. The weather was 60'sh and overcast. Just right. Spent lots of time with Kimberly and Family, having fun in the fancy hotel overnight, eating, going to the kite festival (no wind!), seeing the blossoms and giving Henry and Megan a right in Henry's new birthday wagon.
