Three Sisters, Zoe and Lincoln and Palm Beach

Here's a catch up post. Suzanne got together with her sisters Joan and Christina. They had a nice little chat outside in Suzanne's Sanctuary. Then we have photos of Zoe and Lincoln, the photos from my fam trip to Palm Beach and the Ritz Carlton. And roses for our anniversary. Anybody know how many years it is? Here's a list of gifts by year if you want to do the "right thing" for your honey.

Enjoy the scenery.

We went to iKea and bought Zoe a baking set. She wanted to use it right away. She took it into the kitchen and put the tray in the oven, but couldn't figure out where the cookies were. Sorry Megan if you had to bake the next day.

I think Lincoln was happy to see Grandpa and Grandma.

Ritz Carlton Palm Beach lobby.

We toured Donald Trumps Mar A Largo estate. It was built by Marjorie Merriweather Post. This is current day photo of the Owners Entrance, pictured in the link. It's designed and decorated in very lavish style.

And roses for my Suzi!

Dare to Live

I was surfing the blogosphere and found this at marnieblogon.blogspot.com.

It’s very powerful and hopefully slow you down to think about your own life.

How are you living it?

Are you “phoning in your performance”?

Are you on auto pilot?

Are you too afraid to show others the real you and your dreams.

It doesn’t have to be that way, you can change your approach. People will like you for who you really are instead of the public face you show the world.

Try it, dare to live.

Family and Guardsman's Pass

Kimberly and Family are in town for a few days and Steven and Family came to visit. Here's proof.....Then Suzanne and I drove over Guardsman's Pass from Park City to Solitude and Silver Lake. We walked around the lake and took a few photos.

With that said, I'll let the photos speak for themselves.

August in Albion Basin, Alta, Utah

First, we have to give the newest member of our family, Lincoln, some time in the spot light.

Saturday, since Suzanne is with Alisha and Kimberly, I loaded Mom and Dad into the car and we drove to Alta, Utah. It's in Little Cottonwood Canyon and offers the best skiing around here. We drove all the way to the top, about 9,000 feet, to Albion Basin to see the wild flowers.

Four Generations

The 4th of July celebrates our nations birthday so we celebrated four generations of Utah McFaddens.

Here's my Dad, the 1st generation.

Last time I did BBQ Ribs Suzanne and Steven asked that I go back to using my own rub. So here they are, babybacks which spent the night with my rub, then cooked about 5 hours and then bathed in my own BBQ sauce. When the voting was done everyone said they were the best ribs they'd had all week. I was later told they were the ONLY ribs anyone had eaten all week. Should I be happy or disappointed?

And here are the 4 generations of Utah McFaddens. I turned out to be an emotional experience. Don't Steven with that smile look great? It's always hard to get the youngest, and the oldest, to look at the camera at the right time. We're happy we were able to document this wonderful time together.

We miss the rest of our clan. We look forward to more family gatherings soon.
